My name is Chantelle and I live in Peel Region in Ontario. I am a Registered Nurse with a BScN (Hons) from York University. I am specifically in this program because I believe it will prepare me to be a productive and innovative leader in healthcare management. I strongly believe that this program will provide me with the fundamental knowledge and skills needed to critically think and problem solve through roadblocks and barriers, to meet leadership and organizational priorities that will improve healthcare programs and patients lives.

I have been a Registered Nurse for over 12 years. I have worked in various acute and community healthcare settings. A majority of my career has been in mental health and addictions. I have worked as a mental health and addictions nurse supporting students from grades K to twelve and as care coordinator/health links care coordinator at the LHIN/Ontario Health. I have worked in the emergency department at the Centre of Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) and as a nurse consultant in withdrawal management/addictions services at St. Joseph's Health Centre Toronto. I have worked on an assertive community treatment team (ACTT) at the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA). I am currently working as a Field Nurse Reimbursement Specialist in a patient support program at a pharmaceutical company.

I want to be a leader that shapes and mentors’ employees. I want to encourage system level changes that will improve healthcare for diverse populations. I want to be a part of a system that enhances the standards and quality of care that patients receive.

Fun Facts About Me:

- I have a 19-month-old baby girl named Brooklyn

- I do makeup artistry on the side for weddings and extraordinary events

- I enjoy watching documentaries, film, reality TV series and drama series

- I enjoy going to the Toronto Film Festival (TIFF), Raptors and Blue Jays games
